As domestic market growth slows, International ecommerce sales are seeing double digit growth. China's ecommerce growth should exceed 60% in 2009. Australia (25%), India (45%), Brazil (35%) and France (25%) highlight emerging growth opportunities. More mature markets like Japan (12%) and the UK (14%) continue seeing healthy online retail growth with significantly increasing shipping volume.
Savvy consumers living abroad still want brands and products that until recently have been beyond their reach. Today, they are finding ways to acquire that merchandise with or without your help. The buying process may be poor, the cost may be high, the delivery time may be long, but this diverse universe of International buyers already represents a growing portion of domestic sales.
